Hi y’all. Ben and I (Tiffany) are raising this money to get Abigail a spot at CommuniCamp in Pennsylvania. It is a camp for children with selective mutism (and a few other things), like Abigail, to help cross the bridge to social communication. It is a 3 day intensive camp, not only for Abigail, but for us to learn how to help her. The cost would help pay for the camp, flight, hotel, and food. There are very limited resources around the area we live in.
It it has been a rough but rewarding 5 years of trying to help Abigail as much as we can. Struggling to meet up with friends and loved ones, she has been pushing through it all. Abigail has come a long way through play dates and school, but she is still not willing to speak to anyone but daddy, mommy, Harley, grandma and grandpa. She is silent everyday at school and has never uttered a word. It is important we help her so she doesn’t get lost in the school system as having a speech problem (when she does not). We are willing to travel the ends of the earth for her and to faithfully pray for her. We are proud of her and thankful God gave her to us as a gift.
If you can, we would love the support in getting her voice to break those chains! We believe that this camp can help tremendously especially with kindergarten coming up. If you aren’t able to donate money, PLEASE pray for her and us. Every prayer is worth more than money could ever buy! After all, God is in control and our faith is with Him. We love you and thank you for being there!
