My name is Dale Barella, the son of Tony and Viola Barella.

I am starting a GoFundMe to collect enough money for a headstone for Pilar Barela. For those who may not know who Pilar was, she was the mother of Francisco Barela. Pilar, Francisco, Adelaide, and the girls headed north from Gardner, Colo. to start a new life in Northern Colo. In the late 1900 century, they stopped in Pueblo and worked for a few years before moving on to Larimer County.

This is where they set down their roots of what was to be a big family of 12 children. The family surnames were Gallegos, Vigil, Maxwell, Pino, and Barela.

I would like to have her headstone placed at the Hillside Cemetery in Ft. Lupton, Colo. when we complete her fundraiser. You are invited to Hillside to commemorate her life.
