Today, October 28th, tragedy struck a family very dear to us when a devastating fire completely destroyed their home, leaving them with virtually nothing.

In a matter of moments, this family lost everything they had worked so hard for. Their home, clothing, furniture, personal belongings, cherished memories, and two vehicles were all lost in the fire.

Among those affected are two young children, ages 7 and 3, and their grandfather, who depends on supplemental oxygen. Tragically, his oxygen equipment was also destroyed in the fire.

It’s hard to put into words the devastation this family is experiencing. Two young children have lost their home, their toys, their bedrooms, and the comfort and security of everything they’ve ever known. Their grandfather has lost essential medical equipment that he relies on, and the family has also lost both vehicles, leaving them without their transportation during an already overwhelming situation.

Imagine waking up one morning with your home, your belongings, and your everyday routines, only to have it all taken away before the day is over.

As friends, watching people we care about experience something so devastating is heartbreaking. While we cannot replace the sentimental belongings, family photographs, or memories that were lost, we can come together to help this family get back on their feet.

We are reaching out to our friends, family, neighbors, and community in hopes of easing some of the tremendous financial burden this family now faces.
