Comfort for Chemo Kerry - 54321 Challenge 2021

Donation protected
The 54321 Challenge is all set for Year Number 9.. with a difference!

„ Sisters are doing it for themselves“

This year’s selected charity is Comfort for Chemo Kerry, when choosing this year’s charity the organisers contacted a past participant and a dear friend to us all Mairead Dunphy from Glencar who is currently on her own Journey with Cancer. We wanted to show our support to Mairead and knowing that she would like to support those who have supported her on her journey so far, she had already being looking at ideas to raise much needed funds for Comfort for Chemo Kerry. Little did we think that Mairead would be actually contemplating taken part in the event but in true style and testament to the person that she is, she will be one of the ten participants.

The 54321 Challenge was originally started 9 years ago with a team of 5 People over 4 DAYS, completing 3 CYCLES, and climbing 2 MOUNTAINS for 1 Cause – a local charity.

This year ten ladies will take to the roads and mountains over the 4 days of the event and this will take place from Thursday 19th to Sunday 22nd of August 2021 inclusive. This will include the following.

Day 1 (Thursday 19th)  - Cycle the Ring of Kerry.

Day 2 (Friday 20th) - Climb Carrantuohill.

Day 3 (Saturday 21st) - Cycle from Killarney to the foot of Cnoc Na Tobair and then climb Cnoc Na Tobair

Day 4 (Sunday 22nd) - Cycle the Skellig Ring.

We would be very grateful for any contribution to this worthwhile cause and supporting the participants of this year’s Challenge.
