In the early morning of December 26th, Matt was chosen to be called home. His body had been fighting a cancer he never knew he had.

Matt was a man full of life, love, and the best laugh. He was selfless, caring, and the life of the party. He was one of the good ones. Anyone that knew Matt, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives.

His family was his greatest blessing and everything he stood for. He worked so hard to provide a life full of love and wholeness for his family. He loved watching Bently play sports, and drawing with his Stoney. Not only did he love his own babies with all he had, he also loved his nieces and nephews. Uncle Matt was the wrestle, belly laugh until you cry kind of guy. The one no one will ever be able to replace.

He was a husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He was the best example of the person you’d strive to be.

Matt will be missed everyday by his wife, Ashley, his children, Bently (10) and Brooklyn (7), his mother, Linda, his father, Kenny (Jody), his sisters, Kara, Jordan & Haley, his mother and father in law, Chuck & Maria, his brother in law, Lucas, his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many great friends.

We know Matt is now with his grandpa Tim, uncle Mike, aunt Sandy, Grandma Mary, Father in law Bernie, Grandpa Don, Papa Armen and two of his best friends. We know he is loved here on earth as well as in heaven.

With all of what Matt was, the one thing that would bring us the most comfort is knowing that Ashley and the kids will be taken care of. Allowing Ashley to grieve and be with her kids is what is most important. We would also love to put some aside for the kids as they continue to thrive in school and sports, and allow them to continue the life Matt was providing for them.
