Meet my cousins Joe and Amy. They are the folks that are always taking care of everyone else before themselves. Their life has not been easy at all the last 8-10 years. Their family has faced many struggles and Joe and Amy are always there to put the pieces back together. They are always helping their 3 children, caring for their 5 grandchildren, and now taking care of both of Amy’s aging and ill parents full time. Through all this, Amy herself has had multiple debilitating injuries, multiple corrective surgeries (some that have gone wrong and caused more issues) and has been mostly wheelchair bound for the last few years as a result. But she keeps on going and always takes care of everyone above herself. Joe has had a few surgeries recently himself. To top it all off, due to cuts, Joe was just laid off from his long time job, just a few short years from retirement. Finances have been a major struggle for them as a result of all the medical bills, and will be even more so now that Joe has lost his job. Due to Joe’s last surgery, he was left unable to do things the way he used to, and will be trying for disability, but this could take a while.
in addition, part of their home recently caught fire due to malfunctioning of the breaker box, causing lots of damage.
Now Amy has been taken to the hospital.
It’s quite literally been one thing after another.
Please join me in helping bless the two people who have always focused so hard on helping everyone else.
