Hi Everyone!
My name is Collin Hepworth. I am 16 years old and was born and raised in Northern California. I started participating in the scouting program at an early age and I am currently a Life Scout. I have been working my way through all the requirement to become an Eagle Scout and all I have left to do is my Eagle Project.
For my project, I will be leading the construction of a fence at Beechwood School for the purpose of housing goats. Beechwood School is a non-profit school located in East Menlo Park, California. Since generously opened in 1986, the school has maintained the goal of allowing for a safe, affordable, and engaging space for young economically disadvantaged kids, grades K-8 to learn and grow. You can learn more about Beechwood School by visiting their website: https://www.beechwoodschool.org/
In collaboration with the school’s representatives and my scout leaders, I have been planning this project.
Why is this important?
These goats can provide learning and growing experiences for all kids on the campus. The kids will be directed and taught about the growth of these goats, witness it first hand, and play a part in their growing up. As these goats develop, the student’s understanding and appreciation for life will also grow! Caring for a living thing can also create loving and caring traits in the students. In addition to education, who wouldn’t like to play with a goat here and there? This fence will allow for a containment space for these goats, including two separate blocked off sections, one for regular lounging, and one for milking, feeding, and other separation needs.

Why I need your Help
As you see above, this is not a small number of supplies and materials. As part of my project, I am responsible to raise the money to purchase all these supplies and see this project through. The cost of all these supplies and rentals is about $3,000 dollars. Your funds and donations will make this project possible, improve the lives of the students at Beechwood School, and help me and others grow as leaders and workers, and help me achieve my Eagle Scout. I appreciate all those who have read this Fundraising proposal and hope you will consider donating to this worthwhile cause.
My Promise
I promise that all funds will go directly to the creation of this fence and to the school and I promise to see this project through its completion. In the event there is leftover funds, it will go directly to Beechwood School and help maintain the fence and the goats themselves. Know that these donations will make a difference in Beechwood School’s campus, the students there, and their community. All donations will be greatly appreciated and will be the reason this project is possible.
Thank you for considering this Fundraising proposal, and I hope that you can help support this cause and my path to receiving the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest award in Boy Scouts.
Thank you so much, and have a fantastic day! Let's get to $3,000!
