Colin's DIY SOS

As most of you are aware our dad was involved in a life changing road traffic accident on Monday 8th April where by he was hit by a driver who jumped a red light and knocked him off his motorbike. The unfortunate end result aside from obvious injuries is that our dad has had to have his right leg amputated. He is still currently in Royal London.

Given dad drives for a living this will immediately effect his income but the biggest concern for us right now are his current living arrangements, where he is, is is inhabitable in his now life changing condition. We as a family have decided that the best outcome from this is to place him on land with Family. This means he will have the constant company, around the clock care and adaptations in place for his rehabiliation.

With this decision being made, we have the space and capacity to be able to accomdate this, however, with this being completely unexpected we are now trying to reach out as he is such a well loved man within our small community. We are asking for any help we can get from trades people or for materials to help make this happen and get dad home.

What we are asking for is skilled trades and or materials donated, second hand or new. We know this is a big ask but with so many of us who know so many of you, who know and love dad we believe we can make this happen!!

Additionally we understand the concrete base will be a BIG ask as its a costly, and there may be people who want to contribute but cannot give time or mateirals so we have set up this GO FUND ME so you can contribute should you wish, whether its big or small ANY contribution is greatly appriciated. If you cannot spare cash or materials as we understand times are hard, a few hours of your time would be greatly appreciate, food and drinks will be supplied for all who help.

We need to get this done ASAP as knowing Dad he will want to get out of the hospital ASAP, the strong willed man he is.

We will update both progress on dad and the build along every step of the way, we will be creating a page that you call all follow :)

We already have a digger, dumper, & cement mixer donated already.
