Hey Friends,

My name is the UTK Elf, or Colin the Elf. My story is a fun one, especially if this is your first time tuning in. It is filled with laughs, joy, and a mission to create love at the University of Tennessee through a piece of candy. The concept of The UTK Elf has its roots in random acts of kindness on a massive scale using a piece of candy and hugs. During finals week in December, I dress like Buddy the Elf and give away candy canes. During Valentine's Day, I do heart lollipops as a Care Bear, and for Easter, I do the Easter Bunny with Easter eggs. This gave me the title UTK Elf for the flagship outfit during Christmas.

The Elf's mission is rooted in the idea of community and how to create an impact through unique avenues. The mission statement is to cultivate a vibrant and inclusive community at The University of Tennessee, where kindness, love, and hope flourish. Through acts of generosity, such as embodying beloved characters, giving out free candy, and offering Free Hugs, I aim to remind every student that they are not alone and that there is always someone who cares.

In the last three years, I have given away nearly 44,000 candy canes as well as attended many events such as football games, after-school programs, the Children's Hospital, and more!

This year, I have a goal of 30,000 candy canes (compared to 18,000 last year), as well as more fun, more ambitions, more joy. With that, I can't do it without you and your support. Help support me for a 4th year!
