Colin Petsko Eagle Project: Help Restore Reflections Area
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Colin Petsko. I am a Life Scout from Troop 65, Morgantown, West Virginia. I am currently working on my Eagle Scout rank and am working on my Eagle Scout project. I have been tasked with creating a project that gives back to the community, and I have chosen to restore and rebuild the Reflections Area at Camp Muffly Park in Morgantown, West Virginia.
My goal for this project is to create a long-lasting seating area for generations of 4-H campers to enjoy as they hold their ceremonies in the Reflections Area, as well as anyone else who would like to use the area for events such as weddings. Camp Muffly opened in the 1920s and has been used as a summer camp for multiple groups, such as Adventure WV, 4-H, private institutions, and the general public. Almost all of these visitors use the Reflections Area to hold their meetings. With the current condition that the Reflections Area is in, the space is not nearly as appealing as it had been when it was first built, and it is time to restore the sacred area.
All funds will be used to purchase the materials needed to restore the Reflections Area. Any extra money will be donated to Camp Muffly to complete any professional-grade restorations they see a need for. There will be no leftover money!
I am reaching out to the community to help fund our efforts in this restoration, like helping purchase the materials needed to complete this project. If you are unable to donate, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share my fundraiser to help spread the word. I sincerely appreciate all donations, likes, and shares. Every little bit helps. If you would like to donate your time rather than money, that is always welcome. I will post the workdays in the updates section. Thank you!
