In these unprecedented times of COVID-19, those of us who are privileged to be homebound and healthy during quarantine hope to help those in need. Too often, unsung healthcare heroes show up to work despite lacking access to protective gear to keep themselves and others safe. Furthermore, underserved populations across the world are disproportionately affected, with children’s education coming to an abrupt halt, families struggling to put food on the table and homeschool, and workers and small businesses facing closures.
Together, a group of us have chosen to do our part and raise funds to support these affected populations. We have chosen the following 3 organizations based on cost effectiveness, direct impact, and area of need:
1. Direct Relief Fund
We chose this organization to support our medical heroes in the U.S., Caribbean and South America with personal protective equipment. This organization also works with infectious disease physicians, technology companies and public agencies to use data to expand COVID-19 response and help address chronic gaps in healthcare delivery.

2. NYC COVID-19 Relief Fund
As NYC is significantly hit during this pandemic, we chose this organization to support health care workers and essential staff, local small businesses, displaced hourly workers, and immigrant workers, families, youth, and vulnerable residents of New York City.

3. Vetrivel Foundation
With families in rural India being displaced from their jobs, it is difficult for them to support themselves. Therefore, we chose to work with Vetrivel Foundation to provide families of underserved school children in rural India with groceries, food and other basic necessities that they are unable to afford.
While some states are reopening to the public, COVID-19 is far from gone, and its lasting impact will have far-reaching, yet-unknown consequences. Our initial goal of $6,000 will support the immediate and future needs of healthcare workers and families both locally and internationally. The total amount from your donations will be split among the above 3 internationally recognized and approved charitable organizations, which all serve causes that are very dear to us. Press the donate button and help us surpass our goal! It’s time we all do our part in supporting our healthcare heroes and affected children and families!
We thank you for your support!
