As many of you know, Kiley and Paige welcomed another beautiful baby boy, Cohen Pete, on December 27th, 2018.
On January 10th he was taken to the hospital for flu-like symptoms only to discover his little body was in shock and that he was suffering from a potentially life threatening Group B Strep infection that led to sepsis and meningitis.
He was flown to the IWK in Halifax and is being treated in the NICU where he will be receiving life saving treatment for several weeks. Once he finishes his treatment, he will be able to have an MRI and hearing test to see the extent of the illness’ effects. He has a long road ahead of him but we are hopeful and praying that he will make a full recovery.
Kiley will not be returning to work in BC for the course of Cohen’s treatment so that they can be by his side to help him recover as best as possible. We are hoping we can relieve some financial stress they will be under due to travel and accommodations in Halifax while Cohen recovers.
Our sweet boy has been through a lot in his short two weeks of life and we are incredibly thankful that he was able to fight so hard. We can’t thank you enough for all the support for our precious miracle boy.
Much love,
The Marcott and Campbell family
