Cohen Kicks Cancer

This is 10 year old Cohen (Coco) Mumaw. In October 2023 Coco was diagnosed with a rare cancer (Rhabdomyossarcoma) that only 350 children get per year in the US.

It's Christmas Eve and Coco is recently had week 8 of 41 treatments of chemo. It was a 9 hour chemo treatment this time. For the last 3 days, everything he eats comes back up. He can't keep any food down. He's very weak.

Cancer treatments are hell on people.

In Jan. he will be adding radiation 5 days a week for 6 weeks.

I am here to ask you to help the Mumaw family make ends meet while going through this difficult and at times traumatizing time.

Coco’s mom Megan cannot go to work because she has to stay home with Coco due to the Chemo weakening his immune system. A special room was built to help keep Coco as safe as possible from getting sick.

If Coco’s temperature reaches 101.0, he has to be rushed to Riley Hospital in Indianapolis.

The Mumaw family loses almost $4400 of income each month that Megan doesn’t work.

Coco’s dad Bubba, loses 2 days a week of work costing them around $2500 in lost wages each month.

They have to take Coco to Indianapolis 1 times per week, and in January it will increase to 5 days per week for 6 weeks. Costing them about $300 in fuel plus $600 for 1 meal per day per month.

All together, the Mumaw's are losing almost $7.5k per month in income and expenses. This does not count doctor bills, childcare for their 2 other children, auto care, and all other misc expenses that occur with normal life.

Bubba is selling a shoe collection and sports card collection that he has acquired over the years to help cover costs. Plus anything else that he has that’s worth money. But that won’t last long.

We are trying to raise $25k to help with the difficult financial strain that this has and will continue to put on the Mumaw family. I’m asking you to help Coco and family by giving what you can.

Just $15 will pay for their fuel for 1 day. If gas prices go up, then it will cost them more. $35 will feed them 1 meal. $105 will feed them 1 meal for 3 days. Anything will help. Anyone can help.

Your donation will help take some financial and emotional strain off of Bubba and Megan. And if they get enough, Coco will be able to keep having his daddy with him while going through Chemo and radiation treatments.

Can you imagine being a 10 year old child going through something as traumatic as this and Both of your parents can’t be there because of money. That’s an emotional and scary feeling that Coco feels when his daddy can’t be with him during treatments.
