Cogir Cares: Standing Together During the SNAP Benefit Pause
Across our Cogir communities, many of our valued team members are experiencing unexpected hardship as government SNAP benefits are temporarily paused due to the ongoing shutdown. For some, this means worrying about how to afford groceries and essentials in the days ahead.
At Cogir, we believe in caring for those who care for others. Through Cogir Cares, we’re coming together to provide short-term relief for employees in need by creating community food pantries and grocery-assistance funds at our communities across the country.
Even a small contribution—$10, $20, or whatever you can give—can make a direct impact. Every dollar raised will go toward stocking pantry shelves and providing meals for Cogir team members and their families during this challenging time.
Let’s show our Cogir family what community truly means.
How Funds Will Be Used
- Purchase of groceries and pantry staples for on-site community food pantries
- Distribution of grocery gift cards for employees most affected
- Supplemental meal programs managed by Cogir Cares committees
- All funds will be managed transparently by Cogir leadership and used exclusively to support employees impacted by the SNAP benefit pause.
Why It Matters
Our employees are the heart of our communities. They cook, clean, care, and create joy for residents every day. Now, they’re the ones who could use a helping hand. By rallying together, we can make sure no member of our Cogir family goes without food or basic necessities.
How You Can Help
- Donate any amount you can.
- Share this campaign with friends, family, and colleagues.
- Organize a mini fundraiser or food drive at your community to amplify the effort.
- Every act of care counts. Together, we’ll keep the spirit of Cogir strong.

This fundraiser was created by David Duran, an employee of Cogir Senior Living, under the direction and approval of Cogir USA Senior Leadership. I am serving only as the campaign organizer and will not personally receive or withdraw any of the funds raised.
All donations will be transferred directly to Cogir USA, which will act as the official beneficiary and fund administrator.
Funds will be distributed only after review and evaluation by Cogir leadership to ensure they are used appropriately and exclusively for the intended purpose: supporting Cogir employees affected by the SNAP benefit pause through food and grocery assistance programs.
Cogir USA is responsible for managing all donations in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
