Support our frontline medical workers in Astoria
I was inspired to start this campaign by some of our regulars, who've been leaving donations to buy coffee for hospital workers that frequent the store. If you've been reading the news or talking to friends that work in the field, you know about the danger and the harrowing conditions they face. These selfless people have even been thanking us for staying open, but really it is for the rest of us to be thanking them.
I'm starting this coffee fund in hopes of providing some support, in a small way, to our frontline workers. If a short walk for a nice cup of coffee can provide some kind of respite, that's what we'll do.
100% of the funds will be used to pay for coffee and pastries for our many customers working on the front lines, staffing hospitals or otherwise putting themselves a risk while treating the public.
