Cody Siem Skatepark Relief Fund
$2,205 raised of
Cody Siem Relief Fund
The skaters have teamed up with the city of Grand Rapids and Dale Anderson, Parks and Rec director, to get new ramps until the future update of the park happens (3 years away at a minimum). There is new space in the park after old ramps were thrown out. The removal of the previous ramps have seriously impacted our park and skaters. It ripped a hole in the heart of our park and the skaters are suffering. The money will be 100% going directly to the relief of the park.
The plan is simple.
Online donations will be put directly to purchasing new ramps and equipment through Keen Ramps and or Oc Ramps, putting them together and moving them in to the park immediately. The skaters will have the options of what ramps the park will purchase along with the city.
The money will also be used to start holding events again at the park and purchase gear such as boards, shoes and others products to support our skaters and the giveaways at events. Again all of this is 100% backed by the city and Dale to help get the skaters skating new stuff asap. Also we have Dale's word that all new ramps and equipment will stay in the park and not be removed or replaced without notifying us first.
*Please note* This project has nothing to do with the future overall total park update in the future. This money is going to use immediately the second its received. We are not associated with Cody's Dream fund which is to secure funds for the future park update of the whole of Amercian Legion park (our park included).
Any questions or concerns can be directed to Dale Anderson who is working with us on this project hand in hand. We would like to thank him for allowing us to get back on track and supporting our efforts in regards to this project and overall his help with the state of the park currently.
We look forward to shredding with Grand Rapids again.
Thank you in advance.
Doozer
