What is Codefest?

Codefest is a private small boutique charity music festival with a big idea.

Codefest was created and is run by Codestone, an IT company. “Strange" I hear you say; that's not your typical opening line for a festival back-story! But, yes you heard it right the first time.

Few would argue with the notion that commerce is the engine room of modern society. Codestone is a commercial enterprise, but we believe that commerce shouldn't be a selfish and soulless pursuit of profit for the benefit of a small few.

Our vision is one of a commercial world that as well as seeking success for itself and its people, also has a collective soul that drives it to contribute more widely to the society which underpins its own success.

Our company, like every company is built of people and we think there's no better way to celebrate people than a festival. Codefest exists to bring our people together, embrace the wider community, break down barriers and above all to have some fun. It has no commercial purpose (other than perhaps to encourage like-minded people to join us) and for a technology company we believe that is a refreshing statement.

We charge a modest entry fee to attend the event and give it all to charity. So far it's proving a huge success, people love Codefest and keep coming back and while that's the case we're inspired to keep doing it.
