Coco's Road to Recovery

Hello, My name is Kimberly Sigala and those who know me know I have a sweet Chihuahua named Coco. Unfortunately, Coco was attacked by an opossum in the early hours of the morning on 7/14 in our backyard while he was taking care of doggy business and was rushed to the vet where he had to have same day emergency surgery. What we initially thought was going to be simple wound care turned out to be four wounds, ataxia (a lack of coordination and balance), and two neck fractures that required surgery and drainage as well as x-rays and bloodwork. This incident has come as a complete and devastating shock to our family as our sweet boy was in what was supposed to be the safety of his own home. With that being said, my family is asking for support in any way possible as his treatment and healing journey is beyond what we are could’ve ever imagined and are financially prepared for. Coco is the pride and joy of the Sigala household and has been since the day he was brought home. He is more than a pet. He is our family. We appreciate any and all support as we navigate this healing journey with our beloved boy and would like to thank everyone in advance. No amount of support is too small. We know that with this support, our boy will go back to spinning for pieces of cheese, sunbathing in his backyard, and filling every room he pitter patters into with love the same way he did our hearts.
