Cocoa's Eviction Fund

Donation protected
Cocoa Drake is the director of the Haight-Ashbury Community Nursery School which is located in the San Francisco neighborhood of Cole Valley.  Through her work at the prechool, she has touched the lives of so many children and their families.  Now it is our chance to give something back to a very caring and generous soul.

Cocoa, her husband, and her two adult children have been living in a home that they rent in San Bruno for the past 8 years.  Cocoa is the primary bread winner in the family and her income from the nursery school is just enough for them to cover their monthly expenses.  They live paycheck to paycheck and as a result do not have any savings.

Cocoa and her family have been given an eviction notice by their landlord and need to leave their home by January 1, 2017.  This move will result in many added expenses that they cannot afford to pay.

This campaign will help cover the following expenses:
- First and last month's rent of their new place
- Security deposit
- Moving expenses
- The increase in rent they will pay for their new place (Cocoa will be eligible for social security in April which will increase her monthly income, so she just needs some extra money for January-March to cover her rent increase.)
