Hi, my name is John Michael.
I’m originally from the Andes of Peru. Growing up in poverty, I understand firsthand the daily challenges many of these children face. Today, I work as a Medical Physicist in the United States. With the blessings I've received, I’ve made it my mission to give back each year by organizing trips to Peru, adventures with a purpose: to encourage and bless as many children as possible, just as someone once did for me.
This June, I’m leading a team of generous, adventurous friends from around the world—Pradeep from India, Sneha from New Zealand, and Amy and Abby from the USA—into the remote mountains of Peru. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to bring warmth, hope, and love to over 2,000 children in some of the most underserved schools in the Andes.
Everyone on the team covers their own travel expenses and sponsors coats as part of their journey. That means every dollar you donate goes directly toward purchasing more coats.
Winters in the highlands are brutally cold, and many children lack even the most basic protection: a warm coat. But this mission is about more than just coats. It’s about showing these children they are seen, loved, and never forgotten. Every coat we give is a tangible message:
“You matter. There are people across the world who believe in you.”
While I’m leading the June trip, additional groups and local volunteer teams will be heading to Peru throughout the year, visiting schools and continuing to distribute coats until we reach or even surpass our goal.
As we carry out this mission, those who join us experience not only the great need, but also the incredible beauty and warmth of the Peruvian people.
We believe these children are not just recipients of aid they are Peru’s future leaders, teachers, engineers, fathers, and mothers. By wrapping them in warmth today, we are investing in the future of Peru.
Our goal is to raise $40,000 to make this mission possible just $20 per coat.
Would you consider joining us in making a lasting impact?
Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to our goal and one coat closer to a child in need.
We have filed for 501(c)(3) nonprofit status and are currently awaiting approval. In the meantime, your donation will be retroactively tax-deductible for 2025.
To donate by check, please make it payable to:
