The people of Gilgit-Baltistan live in disconnected villages scattered across the remote mountains of Pakistan. With temperatures averaging 20°F in the winter and the lack of adequate winter wear, the people resort to burning wood to heat their homes. Along with the discomfort it brings to the people, it also carries a negative environmental impact since locals have to resort to burning wood and cutting trees to survive the harsh weather. Warm clothes and blankets can greatly improve the life of these people, while helping the environment. Your contributions will go towards covering the cost of logistics and buying additional clothes.
