Coach Shawn Burr

Hi my name is Ashlee and I’m starting this gofundme for a local hockey & baseball coach Shawn Burr.

This evening ( Sunday night ) his kitchen had caught fire. As a result of trying to extinguish it has received burns on his face, arms and chest. He is currently in hospital being treated and we do not know when he will be able to be released.

His home has significant damage. I’m hoping this page will offset costs of living arrangements for him and his family. As well as helping with bills while he is out of work.

If you can donate please do. Shawn is a great friend and an even better coach. He is always donating his time and efforts to coach the kids of Kenora and enjoys every minute of it!

UPDATE* Shawn’s burns are worse than expected. As we all know burns don’t stop, they keep burning. He is being assessed and may be heading to the HSC burn unit. We will keep everyone updated

UPDATE 2*. Shawn was able to stay in kenora close to family, he is not able to return home due to the extensive damage. Unfortunately most everything will be a loss due to smoke damage. He is in good spirits and is so grateful for all the support he is receiving. Still as beautiful as ever . Thank you Kenora for the continued support
