Save the family of walaa alhayek From suffering in Gaza
Donation protected
I am Walaa from Gaza, Palestine. I am 32 years old and have four children:
- Kareem, 10 years old
-Mohammad, 7 years old
-Twins (Adam and Ayla), 2 years old
I am married to Amer Al-Hayek. We were living a beautiful life in a lovely and safe home that we built step by step with love. We worked hard to provide everything we needed. My husband had a job at an internet company that he loved and went to with passion, so he could provide for us and always give our children the best.
But then, October 7th came, and we couldn't comprehend what happened to us after that day. We left our homes, abandoning everything, fleeing from death, bombing, and terror. My children left their warm room, their toys, their clothes, and their books, which they miss so much that they look at the pictures on the phone, remembering every detail, their eyes filled with tears. I always refuse to let them see the pictures of the house or the food I used to make for them, so they don't suffer more or long for something we cannot provide.
My little twins have grown up in a tent without their morning milk because it isn't available, or sometimes it's available at exorbitant prices. We’ve been displaced several times to find a safer place and are still moving south in Gaza, from Rafah to Khan Younis, and then to Deir al-Balah. Now we are living in a tent in Al-Zawaida, in an unhealthy place where we smell garbage everywhere, everything around us is polluted. We struggle to get unhealthy water. We have no source of income or financial support to meet even our basic needs. The food is very expensive; we survive on poor-quality canned goods.
We are extremely exhausted. My children are suffering from skin diseases, and their treatment is unavailable.
I ask for your help, for me and my family, to provide us with the financial means to travel and leave here. I want a place where they can receive proper treatment. I want them to live their childhood without fear and wars. I want to continue their education, which they have been deprived of. Isn't this their simplest right?
I want to see them grow up in a healthy, clean, and safe environment. I am so afraid of the worsening situation because we can no longer endure it.
Please help us. Every contribution, even if small, will make a difference in our lives.
