I’m a parent involved with the CNY Ballet performance of the Nutcracker ballet. This year will be the second annual performance of their Nutcracker, and they hope to have more in the years to come. With the creation of this company, they have lost many of stage props that the directors used to own. Right now they are trying to purchase the base and a simple structure for the Mother Ginger costume. I am in negotiations to get the cost down to an amount that they could afford. However, any amount that you can donate will help with that effort because they still need to get the fabric to create the costume top and the outer fabric for the skirt. They are also in need of other props such as vintage sleds and a vintage wheelchair. If you are local and can volunteer your time to sew or build, please reach out to them.
