Bryon Buicks Garden Fundraiser Event ''When Pigs Fly"

Hello!

I am organising this fundraiser for the Penneshaw Progress Association to raise money for Bryon Buick's Garden in Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island.

Working with community members, we are holding a fundraising event, When Pigs Fly, located on Franks Road, Dudley West, 4km from Penneshaw, from 9 May until 11 May 2025.

This GoFundMe is to make donations easier for patrons before, during and after the event.

Bryon Buick was awarded joint Citizen of the Year in 2024 by the Kangaroo Island Council for his dedication to the amenities of the Penneshaw township. Sadly, Bryon passed away in October 2024, leaving many in Penneshaw devastated. Bryon was an artist and a familiar face in the township of Penneshaw, frequently seen volunteering hours every week watering, mulching, planting and weeding the garden beds of the town in rain, hail or shine.

When Pigs Fly will feature a donation box that will be available during the event to raise money to support the volunteers who continue Bryon's work and honour his legacy.

When Pigs Fly is a free entry, donation-based event to bring the community together through live music and other forms of entertainment.

Pigs Fly will be funded through grants, sponsorships, and donations and managed by Quark Community and the amazing group of volunteers who believe this will help bring the community together to support local charities and businesses.
