Harbor-UCLA Pediatrics Holiday Drive

On behalf of the Harbor-UCLA Pediatrics Department and Advocacy Committee, we invite you all to participate in a holiday drive in which we will collect items and donations for deserving families.

We are a safety net hospital that serves low-income families in LA County. These last few years have been exceptionally hard on our families. Many of the families nominated have experienced the loss of family members, jobs, and even their homes. They are working tremendously hard to make ends meet, and we would love to help ease the burden and make their holiday season enjoyable for the kids and families.

Some examples of the families we have sponsored in the past:

7-year-old who is blind and developmentally delayed and his 3-year-old autistic sibling whose family is financially struggling. They have extra expenses due to increased needs by both children and would greatly appreciate any support.

A family of 5 with a 13-year-old who has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, requiring frequent hospitalizations. His mother is a single mother, who lost her job during the pandemic and has struggled to make ends meet. The family includes 3 siblings, aged 15, 18, and 21 years old.
