We recently adopted a sweet dog named Clover to a loving family. We saw the dog initially on a Craigslist ad and of course we responded quickly to save her. We brought her in, gave her veterinary care which included all her vaccines and deworming as well as spaying her.
Her foster fell in love with her and decided to adopt her and make her part of their family with their 2 other dogs.
Recently Clover started feeling sick and they took her in. She was initially diagnosed with pnuemonia and was given antibiotics. She didn't respond to them and began to decline, so they took Clover back into the vet where further testing was done.
She was finally diagnosed with distemper and if you know anything about this, it's a terrible disease. Most puppies don't survive it. Clover is a fighter and she is old enough that we hope she can recover from the effects of the virus. She is currently in the hospital on IV fluids and getting the best care she can.
Unfortunately, this care is very expensive and the vet bills are over $4000 currently. We would like to help the family out and we're hoping you would also. If you can donate anything at all, we would appreciate it and I know Clover and the family would too.
There are a lot of good people out there and I know you all would appreciate the help if you were in Clover's parents shoes.
Thank you all so much for reading and for helping!
