Help Save Dogs in Turkey Before It's Too Late!
Istanbul, Turkey estimates having 400,000 to 600,000 stray dogs and cats. The street dog situation is so bad, that many dogs are caught and dumped in the forest to die. Rover's Retreat is a non profit 501(c)(3) organization staffed only by volunteers that is dedicated to helping save these dogs from a lifetime of suffering.
Since 2017 Rover's Retreat has brought over 250 dogs and currently have 30 dogs on the waiting list to come to the United States this year. Unfortunately, they just received the devastating news that beginning on July 14th the CDC, for the next 12 months, will prohibit the entry of dogs into the United States from over a 100 countries including Turkey.
Please consider helping Rover's Retreat save as many dogs as possible before this ban. The average cost to fly one dog over is $320 (this does not include the cost of the crate, custom fees, flight volunteer's travel fee or boarding until foster homes are found). We are hoping to raise 15,000.
Whether you can make a donation (appreciated more than you know!) at this time or not, please take a moment to share this link!
With Gratitude,
Sharmon Kinser and Donna Sarmiento
