Clockhouse and New Charlton Warm Space Project

Hi, my name is Kevin. I am the Manager for both the Clockhouse and New Charlton Community Centres in South East London.

This winter, we are trying to help members of our local communities who will be struggling with the impact of the cost of living crisis.

One initiative we are starting is to open our two community centres as ‘Warm Spaces’, aimed at those who may be struggling to meet the rising costs of their heating bills and food.

We want to welcome people into our centres where we can offer them some light refreshments and activities as well as a friendly chat. In a small way, we hope it will give families, especially those with children, and older people, a break from staying in their cold environments.

We are hoping to raise funds to help us provide this Warm Space together with hot drinks, snacks and activities for all who attend our community centres as part of this project.
