My dad Clinton Weaver “Bill” is very sick. Bill is currently in ICU right now at Covenant hospital with a possibility of being transferred down to Henry Ford. It is now been three months of hospital jumping from Genesys, Henry Ford and Covenant and then adding in wellspring rehab. Dad has been very sick with his gallbladder, Has now gone septic twice, now has a cholecystitis drain bag- which has had to be replaced four times now, Afib with RVR, blood clot in his lung, DVTs in his legs, having stroke like symptoms they’re calling them TIAs, low blood pressure 70/40s, blood coming from both ends, due to the bleeding ulcers in his stomach so now has a tube in his nose to suck out the bile and blood from his stomach. It has been a yo-yo ride for sure. Two steps forward, four steps back.
My mom Karen has been my dad‘s rock. Karen has been very supportive and a perfect patient advocate for my dad. Karen has been juggling the house responsibilities which are 10 acres, the house, and all of the animals and going to be with Bill. She has been driving every day to wherever he’s at either at the hospitals or in the rehab. My mom and dad are very proud people and would never ask for help. They consider this their “struggle”. But watching from the side, I can see my mom is struggling in a different way than my dad right now and it’s killing me. I have helped where I could, but it is not enough. Now the medical bills are coming in from Genesys, Henry Ford, and Covenant. And with my parents being a fixed income, this is going over their head. And I wish for my mom to be able to focus on my dad instead of worrying where the next meal is for her, or not having enough gas money or now paying the multiple medical bills.
Your contribution can make a difference whatever you can provide will help cover some of the medical bills, the new addition of the wheelchair ramp and any other medical upgrades, my mom will have to get installed. This will also help my mom with a new medical bills and help cover getting groceries and gas for her. So maybe she will eat a normal meal instead of just having corn on the cobb for dinner. And to try to relieve the stress of not having enough gas money to get to whichever hospital he is at.
We are incredibly grateful for any support you can provide. Every donation, big or small brings us closer to our goal and makes a real difference in the lives of my Mom and Dad Thank you so much!!
