Hi, My Name is Deborah Mc Kenna.

As the Christmas Season approaches and lots of people are getting excited, I am very conscious of those who will not be feeling the same as they prepare for their first Christmas without a loved one.

I am one of those people as this will be my first without my own amazing mother.

In honour of my mother and in thinking of all of those who are in the same position as my family this Christmas, I am going to Climb Croagh Patrick On Saturday the 6th of December 2025.

I am aware that this time of year can be difficult for people financially but I am asking for donations of anything you can spare, and all money raised will go to Meath Pallative Care.

Depending on how much I can raise, something I would really like to do is send a card and a small token to all of those in our community who have lost a loved one this year.

I want people to know we are thinking of them as I think of my own Dad and Family without my Mam this Christmas.
