Climbing Mount Toubkal in Memory of My Sister, Zoe Panayi
On 15th April, I’ll begin climbing Mount Toubkal, the tallest mountain in North Africa at 4167m high! But this isn’t just about reaching the summit...this is a climb filled with purpose, heart, and love.
I’m doing this in memory of my beautiful sister, Zoe, who tragically passed away from melanoma at just 26 years old. She was a mother, a daughter, a sister...and one of the strongest person I’ve ever known.
Zoe’s final days were spent under the incredible care of Mountbatten Hospice, who supported not just her, but our entire family and community. Their compassion, dignity, and ongoing support made an unbearable time just a little more manageable. They continue to do the same for so many others...but like many charities, they’re under huge financial pressure.
This climb is to raise funds for Mountbatten Hospice...they need every bit of support right now, and every donation goes directly to helping others receive the same care Zoe did.
But I’m also climbing to raise awareness for something incredibly close to my heart: Zoe’s Law.
We’re calling for the mandatory testing of all removed moles and skin tags for melanoma, to help prevent other families from experiencing the same devastating loss. You can read more and sign/share the petition here:
This is more than a climb. This is a tribute. A mission. A movement.
Please donate if you can even if just a pound.
Share if you can’t. Every bit of support means the world.
Let’s do this for Zoe...and for every family who needs Mountbatten.
