Hello! My name is Kubashnee, and I'm taking on an exciting challenge to support three incredible organizations close to my heart: Quest Primary ELP, Bromley Down Syndrome Support Group (Bromley DSSG), Providing Support for Individuals with Down Syndrome (PSDS).
My son Kylen was born with Down Syndrome and congenital heart disease. He underwent open-heart surgery at just 4 months. Kylen is thriving . He is loving and caring and he charms everyone who is fortunate to meet him. He has fantastic dance moves and enjoys Just Dance, loves crisps and pizza and 'gnocchi gnocchi pasta' and is a huge fan of Michael Jackson. Kylen loves kicking a ball around and is like a fish in the sea or swimming pool.
Kylen is like every other child, he just takes longer to learn things and works well with patience and gentle words and repetition and visuals.
On Saturday, 13th September 2025, I'll be climbing Snowdon—the highest peak in Wales at 1,085 meters—as a symbol of hope, determination, and strength for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
My goal is to raise £1000, which will directly support:
• Educational resources and programs at Quest Primary ELP
• Community activities and support services provided by Bromley DSSG
• Community activities and support services provided by PSDS
• Raising awareness about Down syndrome in our local community
These organizations do amazing work providing education, support, and advocacy for people with Down syndrome and their families. Every pound raised will make a real difference in someone's life.
The climb will be challenging, but nothing compared to the daily challenges that individuals with Down syndrome and their families face with such grace and courage. I'm honored to take on this mountain in their honor.
Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to our goal and shows the Down syndrome community that they have our unwavering support.
Thank you for reading my story and for any support you can provide. Together, we can make a difference!
