This summer, I’ll be traveling to the Dolomites in northern Italy to take part in a charity climb supporting Radiating Hope.

Radiating Hope works to expand access to life-saving radiation therapy in parts of the world where cancer patients often have little or no access to treatment. By helping provide equipment, training medical teams, and building sustainable radiation oncology programs, the organization is working to bring hope and care to communities that need it most.

Unfortunately, access to modern cancer treatment is still very unequal around the world. While many hospitals have advanced technology and trained specialists, millions of patients never receive the treatment that could help save their lives simply because those resources are not available where they live.

Supporting Radiating Hope is one way we can help change that.

Taking the Mission to New Heights

To raise awareness and support for this mission, I’ll be participating in a charity climb in the Dolomites, one of the most iconic mountain ranges in the Alps. The climb represents more than a physical challenge — it symbolizes the collective effort required to expand access to cancer care around the world.

Every step of the journey will represent the patients and families who face cancer with courage and resilience.

Carrying Prayer Flags of Strength and Healing

During the climb, I’ll be carrying Tibetan prayer flags, traditional symbols of compassion, strength, and healing. These flags are believed to carry blessings and positive intentions into the wind, spreading hope far beyond the mountains where they are placed.

My goal is to raise $5,000 to support the work of Radiating Hope.

Funds raised will help expand access to radiation therapy in underserved regions by supporting:

• Medical equipment for cancer treatment centers

• Training for radiation oncology professionals

• Programs that help hospitals build sustainable cancer care services
