Nepal Climbing Community Relief Fund Amid COVID-19

COVID-19 is continuing to become one of the major crisis around the world. To retaliate to this disease, Nepal government closed this spring’s mountaineering & trekking season and because of this it has negatively impacted hugely on the travel & tourism sectors and especially to those whose livelihood depends on it.
With the uncertainty growing day by day due to the virus, we have deeply thought about what we can do to help our guides, porters and their families, who are associated with the climbing community, who make the majority of their yearly earnings during this period and are now out of income and have no means of support. We want to be able to support them during this time of need just like they do for us when we climb the mountains.
Our aim is to help not only those who have worked with us but everyone involved in this sector and suffering due to this pandemic. Therefore, we at Elite Himalayan Adventures team have initiated to do something for this community. We want to raise what little we can to help them during this difficult time. Where your funds will go: 100% of these funds that have been raised will go in support of the climbing community, who are in need and have lost income due to cancellations and work stoppage due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This is emergency funding to help them with their livelihood, feed their families, help the utilities, and medical needs.
