**Climbing Ben Nevis in memory of Dave Lambourn**
CLIMBING TEAM: Sally&Joe Brocklehurst, Eve&Mia Brocklehurst, Christine Ivison (3 generations)
In the summer of 2019 my brother in law, Dave Lambourn, tragically died following a gruelling battle against cancer. Sadly, he left behind my heartbroken sister and their two young children.
Dave, a loved and respected Headteacher at Bryn Hafren, was forever organising events and entering races to raise money for various causes. He was a great guy, a wonderful husband to my sister Jenny, and an amazing Daddy to Kitt & Ivy.
Dave never gave up during his battle, he showed immense strength and his fighting spirit was inspirational. To honour his memory we would like to take on our toughest challenge yet by climbing Ben Nevis, and hopefully raise some vital funds for Dreamcatchers Shrewsbury while doing it.
Nothing can prepare you for the death of a loved one, and during this desperately sad time, 'Dreamcatchers' contacted my sister to gift her family some special days out, including Chester Zoo and the Santa Steam Train, and we were all touched by their kindness.
So please support us in conquering Ben Nevis, in tribute to Dave, by sponsoring what you can. All proceeds raised will be donated to Dreamcatchers Shrewsbury so that they can continue to sprinkle a little bit of magic into the lives of those who really need it.
**Dreamcatchers, a fund set up in 1995 by locals Ron & Di Morgan, essentially provide memorable experiences for children suffering from life threatening and/or chronic illnesses. Many of these children NEVER recover, and most have been hospitalised at some point or another**
