CLIMB & KEN
Climb & Ken are a group of 8 friends trying to raise money for Climbing out of Depression, a small charity dedicated to spreading the awareness of mental health, trying to remove any potential barriers like funding to enter the world of climbing. Enabling people from all walks of life to see their potential through the sport. For the group, climbing has done nothing but good, being able to push yourself yet still escape in its challenge. But most importantly, community. We wouldn’t be the group we are today without climbing.
The mission. On the 5th of October we are attempting to run the 2025 Salomon Ultra Pirineu, a 100 kilometre ultra marathon with 6600m elevation in the heart of the Cadí Moixeró Natural Park. We want to push ourselves to breaking point and together show others what we’re really capable of when we set out to achieve something. Especially with our friends.

More information about Climbing out of Depression: The Charity was set up in the memory of Katie Kemp whose life tragically ended at the age of 23. Climbing was Katie’s safe space and we hope the Charity can provide a safe space for those suffering from Mental Health disorders by providing free climbing sessions and social sessions. Climbing provides not only physical benefits but a period of relief from the mental stress life can bring.
