Climb For Edmund
Donation protected
Our friend Edmund Corrigan was sadly diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease a few months ago. I say ‘our friend’ because of the many projects Edmund has supported over the years in Tracton and beyond. One example of a project that he hugely contributed to is the Tracton Arts and Community Centre, which would not have been built had it not been for Edmund’s amazing philanthropy.
On Friday, September 1st, I plan to climb the county Mayo mountain Croagh Patrick barefoot. I have climbed Croagh Patrick 21 times before but this time I am planning on climbing it in my bare feet! I’m doing this to raise money for the Irish Motor Neuron Disease Association as well as another great Irish charity Team Hope - Christmas Shoebox Appeal.
My wife Lorraine and my brother Robin will be supporting me on the day. Lorraine is a volunteer at the Team Hope sorting centre in Fermoy and has seen first hand the amazing work that Team Hope do for vulnerable children. Edmund has been a tireless ambassador for children’s education with his directorship at Regina Mundi College.
I will be starting my climb at 9am from the statue of Saint Patrick at the foot of the mountain. Everyone and anyone is welcome to climb the mountain with us on the day.
Your contributions to these two amazing charities will be greatly appreciated.
