The Christmas season is just around the corner, and there's something incredibly special about the magic that Christmas lights bring to a community. In Clevedon, we've seen the transformation, the warmth, and the joy that vibrant Christmas lights bring to Clevedon's streets and public spaces. This year, we're excited to announce that the Clevedon Christmas Lights campaign, hosted by the Clevedon Community Lights Group is back and better than ever before!
Why Christmas Lights Matter
Christmas lights are more than just decorations; they're a symbol of unity and hope. They bring people together, create a sense of wonder, and turn the town into a magical wonderland. For many of us, the sight of beautifully lit streets and squares is a cherished part of our Christmas traditions. But beyond the aesthetics, Christmas lights boost local businesses, draw visitors to our town, and strengthen our sense of community.
The 2023 Campaign: What to Expect
This year, the campaign promises to be a spectacular display of lights and community spirit. We're aiming to raise £8,000 to illuminate Clevedon's Hill Road and Queens Square areas, including The Village, creating a connected and radiant Christmas experience for everyone to enjoy. But we can't do it without your support!
How You Can Get Involved

Corporate Sponsorship
We welcome local businesses to get involved each year and spread their name as well as Christmas cheer. The Clevedon Community Lights Group is excited to offer corporate sponsorship packages, starting at a donation of £1,000. These packages include:
- Logo Placement: Company logos will be prominently featured on all printed marketing materials, provided a decision is made within the next two weeks.
- Social Media Recognition: Sponsors will be recognized within the social media campaign when the lights are on, reaching a wide audience and showcasing their commitment to the community.
- Discover Clevedon Exposure: The campaign will include copy within the public-facing BID website for Clevedon, "Discover Clevedon" (https://www.discoverclevedon.co.uk/), introducing your business and expressing gratitude for your support.

The Light Switch On!
Additionally, the campaign will feature two exciting switch-on celebrations on November 23rd and 24th, as well as a Winter Market hosted by the Clevedon Sunday Market in December, offering sponsors ample visibility during the festive season.
This year's campaign proudly enjoys the partnership and support of Clevedon BID (Business Improvement District) and the Clevedon Town Council. Clevedon BID and the Clevedon Town Council have joined hands with the Clevedon Community Lights Group to make this year's campaign even more magical. Their support underscores their commitment to enhancing Clevedon's economic and cultural vibrancy.
