We are Girls and Goals , a youth-led movement of passionate changemakers who use sports, arts, and culture to champion social justice and transform the lives of girls and young women in rural and underserved communities.
We're raising funds for our next Girls Soccer Tournament this August in Madziva, Shamva—a mining community in Zimbabwe where the risks of child marriage and limited SRHR access remain high. But this isn't just a football event. It's a community-led platform for empowerment, dialogue, and visibility.
The tournament, led by our traditional leader, Chief Bushu, Madziva Teachers College, and the people of Takawira Village B, will bring together 10 girls’ teams for two days of sport, storytelling, and sisterhood. It will serve as a “Mega Nhanga” , a safe and vibrant gathering inspired by the Rozaria Memorial Trust’s groundbreaking model.
Girls will compete on the field, and they’ll also participate in boot camps and dialogues on child marriage, leadership, mental health, and economic agency. This is about giving rural girls the tools to dribble past limits and score bold futures.
We’re seeking financial and in-kind donations . Everything from sports kits and sanitary products to meals and sound systems. We also welcome partners who want to co-create this experience with us. Let’s build something beautiful together.
