CleanHandsTO is a community initiative to bring hand washing stations to Toronto's homeless.
Each hand wash station provides up to 200 hand washes per day. The stations are placed in high traffic areas frequented by the homeless community. Our volunteers and partners adopt a station, providing routine maintenance of refilling/sanitizing.
We've already placed 2 stations in Toronto. Due to overwhelmingly positive feedback, we have a waiting list of churches, respite centres, and volunteer groups that are waiting to adopt a hand washing station. Our goal is to grow to 10 stations, which would provide 2000 hand washes per day!
Help us get to our $1500 fundraising goal - the proceeds will be enough to purchase 8 additional stations along with the soap, disinfectant, and PPE to keep these operational until winter.
Please join us in keeping Toronto healthy and safe. When we help our most vulnerable we improve the health of the whole city.
