Help Bring Clean Water to 34 Orphans and 100 Families in Uganda

Hi, I’m Lara Brightside, CEO and co-founder of Living Brightside Enterprises Inc.

For over 15 years, I’ve supported heart-centered healers, creatives, and professionals to bring their missions to life.

Today, I’m asking for your help to bring this mission to life & make a life-changing impact on a community in Zigoti, Uganda, in partnership with the Oceanz Children Foundation—an organization founded by three remarkable individuals who were once orphans themselves.

As of today, the Oceanz Children Foundation cares for 34 precious children who have been orphaned or abandoned.

Despite limited resources, the foundation does its best to provide a nurturing environment that strives to meet the physical, emotional, and educational needs of these children.

Here’s what they work tirelessly to provide:

> Nutritious meals and clean water (though clean water for domestic use is unavailable, and bottled water for drinking is expensive)

> Comfortable living spaces and hygiene facilities (though they are stretched thin due to limited funds)

> Access to healthcare (with costly treatments for preventable waterborne diseases like typhoid)

> Education and tutoring (though additional supplies and resources are urgently needed)

> Emotional support and counseling (to help children heal from trauma, though resources are limited)

> Extracurricular activities and creative opportunities (when funding allows)

> A safe, secure environment (which they fight hard to maintain despite challenges)

While the foundation’s team works tirelessly to provide for these children, they need our help to overcome one of their biggest obstacles: access to clean water.

Without clean water for cooking, cleaning, and hygiene, the risk of illness is constant. Recently, one young girl required a $4,000 surgery for a waterborne illness, a financial and emotional strain for the entire team.

This is where you can make a difference.

We’re raising funds to build a borehole water well that will provide clean water not just for the orphanage but for the entire community of Zigoti, including 100 families.

This well will prevent illness, lower medical costs, and create a healthier, more sustainable future for the children and their community.

The Oceanz Children Foundation was founded by Tamale Peter, Henry Ssemwanga, and Angel Nayiga—three inspiring individuals who grew up as orphans themselves. United by their shared vision, they created this safe haven to give vulnerable children the opportunities they never had.

Their passion, resilience, and dedication are transforming lives, but now they need our help to continue this important work.

Tamale and his team have proven their commitment time and again. Every donation is accounted for with detailed updates, photos, and receipts, and they act swiftly to meet the children’s needs.
