My name is Solomon Ashe Mawejje, founder and Executive Director of Saint of Good Hope Initiative, a nonprofit working to protect children’s health and education in rural Uganda. We work directly with schools and communities to support children who are often forgotten.
In Kassanda District, Uganda, many school children have no safe toilets. Some share one unsafe pit latrine with hundreds of students. Children fall sick, miss class, and girls often stay home during menstruation because there is no privacy or dignity. These conditions are urgent, and without outside support, schools cannot fix them on their own.
Your donation will help us build 10 safe school latrines with hand-washing stations, provide hygiene and menstrual health education, and restore dignity to over 3,500 children and teachers. This support means fewer illnesses, better school attendance, and a safer place for children to learn and grow.
Every child deserves to learn in safety and dignity. With your support, we can replace unsafe school latrines with clean, secure facilities that protect children’s health, keep girls in school, and give thousands of students a better chance at a brighter future. Your generosity today will create lasting change for children who need it most
