I’m DeAndra, owner of Rinse Cycle Valet from Chicago, and I own a laundry pickup and delivery business on Chicago’s South Side. Our location still has power so we’re offering free laundry pickup, wash, dry, and fold for storm-affected families in Gary. It’s a small thing next to everything they’re rebuilding, but clean clothes matter, especially for kids going back to school or parents heading back to work.

Where your donation and the funds goes:

Every dollar covers the actual cost of washing, drying, and delivering laundry for a family detergent, water, drying time, truck rental for transporting laundry and driver gas for pickup/delivery between Chicago and Gary. This isn’t overhead or profit; it’s the direct cost of serving one more family.

• $15 — sponsors one family’s laundry for a week

• $50 — sponsors a family for a month

• $150 — sponsors an entire block or small group of neighbors

We’re coordinating secured drop-off locations with local churches and relief organizations in Gary so this reaches people safely and reliably.
