Clayton Chargers Chariot Appeal

We are a social running group near Accrington, Lancashire.  The name Clayton Chargers was born out of our first Clayton Couch 2 5k programme back in early 2017.   Since that time many miles of pavement have been pounded, friendships have formed and even the odd relationship has flourished!  We affectionately call ourselves The Chargers Family. 

Within our 'family' we have Carl and Michelle Hamer, wonderful parents of two very special boys - Alfie Jak and Mika.  Alfie is 7 years old, he is non verbal with Down's Syndrome.  Mika is 5 and also has additional needs.  Due to their complex needs, the boys are fully dependent of their parents and it's very rare to see Carl and Michelle without them.  As keen runners, this makes their running hobby difficult and they would very much benefit from a special pushchair in which they could take Alfie with them on their runs!  Unfortunately such special chariots don't come cheap and we would like to attempt to raise the cash for them to buy one.  This would make such a difference to all their lives.  Running is such a great outlet for both Carl and Michelle and Alfie loves being out in the open air too!  

We're predominantly reaching out to our fellow Chargers but we would be immensely grateful to anyone who can spare a pound or two,  or whatever they can.  Together we can make such a fantastic difference for this very special family!
