It is with deep sorrow that I have to write Brad Goldstein, a strong man of God has passed away unexpectedly on July 27th. It has us all in shock.

If you knew him you’d have more than a few memories of him being a blessing to you. He was a strong, servant hearted man who had a fire for Jesus and wanted others to know that what He did for him he could do for them.

He went to heaven and left his wife Claudia and daughter Kylie with the best memories of him.

This GoFundMe is created for his wife and daughter, so that they can eat, grieve and live without the stressors and uncertainties of finances.

We appreciate all prayers and donations sent their way. They are overwhelmed with all of the love shared with them already.

Thank you.
Bradley Goldstein Obituary:

Bradley Evan Goldstein, 41, passed away on July 27, 2024, at Wire Road, Winnabow, NC, while running and triumphing over his health. Born on April 14, 1983, in Broward County, Florida, he was the beloved son of Jan Howell Goldstein and Linda Carolyn Bogart.

Bradley relocated to North Carolina in February 2024 to pursue a new opportunity with Christian Brothers Automotive. He was passionate about contributing to his team and community and was driven by his faith to become a transformative leader. He envisioned creating a nonprofit organization to support families who have lost loved ones in the line of duty, whether in the military or police force. Additionally, he planned to establish a veteran hockey league to foster a sense of community among veterans.

Before moving to North Carolina, Bradley lived in Fort Worth, Texas, where he had a distinguished career with the Arlington Police Department. Over his eight years there, he held a variety of roles including SWAT Operator, Undercover Narcotics Detective, HEAT Officer, and Patrol Officer. He also served on the robbery and violent crime task forces, and was part of the foot patrol unit. His dedication earned him a Life Saving Award and a Chief Challenge Coin for Community Policing. Additionally, Bradley was involved with the Military Reintegration Team, Peer Support Unit, and served as a Corporal. He was an instructor in search and defensive tactics, provided dignitary protection for President George H. W. Bush, and contributed to recruiting and training new officers. He volunteered his time as a Texas Challenge Academy Mentor and he completed numerous courses. Brad earned widespread respect and numerous accolades from his peers.

Bradley also dedicated nine years to the U.S. Army, where he was honorably discharged as Team Leader Sergeant. He supervised 7 enlisted soldiers. He carried a secret security clearance. He created standard operating procedures during operations in support of Iraqi Freedom. His awards include the Army Commendation Medal (2nd award), Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (2nd Award), and the Armed Forces Reserve Medal. He served in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom, facing imminent danger with bravery. Before enlisting in the Army, he was training to join the Air Force but withdrew following the sudden loss of his father. He decided to remain with his family to support and care for his mother and brother, stepping into the role of their protector and caregiver.

Bradley lived in several states throughout his life, including California, Wisconsin, Louisiana, and Florida. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management. He played football for Pewaukee High School in Wisconsin and received a scholarship to Lakeland College for football. He was a devoted sports enthusiast. He played hockey for the Dallas Warriors, enjoyed surfing, golfing, cycling, ziplining, skydiving, running, and scuba diving. His zest for adrenaline and life was unmatched.

Bradley was a devoted husband, father, and brother. His deep commitment to his family, especially his daughter, who brought him great joy, was a central part of his life. He was dedicated to ensuring a healthy and long life for his wife and daughter, viewing his family as his highest purpose.

He actively engaged with his church community, participating in men’s groups including Brotherhood at Lifepoint Church. He received the honor of leading a small group for veteran, law enforcement officers and firefighters the week of his passing. Recently, he found profound fulfillment in his faith and his efforts to live a life grounded in God’s teachings.

Bradley was renowned for his unwavering loyalty, tireless work ethic, integrity, humility, compassion, and sense of humor. He wore his heart on his sleeve and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He always willing to lend a hand. Brad’s favorite piece of advice when times were tough was simply, “Pray about it,” reflecting his thoughtful and caring approach to life.

A celebration of Bradley’s life will be held on August 9th at 10 AM at Lifepoint Church in Wilmington, North Carolina, with a reception to follow at Edwards Teach Brewery. His ashes will be spread at Oak Island at 10 AM.

In the words of his favorite quote, “Remember kid, there’s heroes and there’s legends. Heroes get remembered but legends never die!” Bradley’s legacy endures in the hearts of all who knew him, carrying forward his spirit and the impact he made.
