Help Vayda Get the Therapy She Deserves

Story

Help Vayda Get the Therapy She Deserves Many of you know our story. For the past six months, we’ve been walking through an incredibly painful and exhausting legal battle — fighting for justice and protection for my daughter, Vayda. At just 5 years old, she has bravely spoken up about things no child should ever have to experience. But because of her young age and the way our court system is structured, her voice is not enough. There is no DNA evidence And because of that, it has become her word against her father’s. This is the tragic reality: when a child is this young and there is no physical evidence, the system often acts as if nothing happened. But I’ve watched my daughter change. I’ve seen her fear, her trauma responses, and her attempts to make sense of what’s been done to her. I’ve documented her disclosures. I’ve followed every legal step. Still, the courts say she’s too young to be a reliable witness. The court has ordered that I work with a court-approved therapist — someone trained to handle cases like Vayda’s and who meets the standards for court testimony. The therapist we’ve found is not only qualified, but one of the best for trauma and high-conflict custody cases. She is the right person to help Vayda heal and be heard. But therapy is $300 per session, once a week. I simply cannot keep up. I’ve done everything I can. Our church family has helped with rent. My family has supported us every step of the way. Every credit card is maxed out. This is my last resort. In addition to therapy costs, I’ve now been ordered to undergo a full psychological evaluation — just to prove my own integrity and show that I have not coached Vayda or told her what to say. This evaluation is required to continue our case, and it costs between $3,500 and $5,000. It's another heavy burden, but I’m willing to do whatever it takes to protect my daughter and stand for the truth. I’ve always been a proud person, and asking for help is hard. But this is not about pride — this is about Vayda. If you can give, every single dollar helps. And if you can’t help financially right now, we completely understand — we’ll also be putting on a large sale soon to help raise funds, and even just sharing this link means the world to us. God has carried us this far, and I believe He will continue to make a way. His hand is all over this case. He has shielded Vayda, exposed what needed to be revealed, and removed every person who wasn’t meant to speak into her life. I trust He’s not finished yet. With love and deep gratitude, Claressa Taylor!
