Clarence's Fight for Recovery

Hi, my name is Krystle and I'm raising funds for my father Clarence. In October he had what we thought would be a standard knee replacement. Since then we have dealt with a third degree frostbite burn, gangrene, blood clots, over 7 other surgeries and procedures, reaccuring thrush, 24 hour IV antibiotics, falls, a broken collar bone, multiple infectious disease, wound care and orthopedic physicians, 2 nursing homes/rehab facilities and numerous hospital visits. We are now battling acute delirium, being malnourished and the disheartening possibility of amputation.

My dad is a strong, witty, service driven and goal oriented family man. He lives by two mottos. "Family comes first" and "There is no higher purpose than that of service." He has spent his entire life being an example of these two things. He served his country by enlisting in the Air Force at the age of 18, fighting in the Vietnam War and again in the army during the war in Afghanistan. He has served his community as a volunteer firefighter partipating in the recovery and clean up at ground zero during 911, as well as a private security officer and working in emergency management during some of our biggest disasters. He is also a great pawpaw to two grandsons, never hesitating to play, attend soccer games and come up with new adventures. As a father he is always there for me offering advice or a strong daddy kind of hug.

I am asking for your help because while we do not know what the future holds we do know that there will be medical expenses and living expenses to continue to manage while he is hospitalized.

He has given so much of himself to others that I'm hoping and praying that someone will be willing to help him in his time of need as well. Thank you in advance and many blessings from our family to yours.
