CLAPA Cleft lip and palate association

Hi my name is Lewis, I am completing a 10k run for my son August to raise money for CLAPA(cleft lip and palate association).

Around one in 700 babies are born with a cleft around the world, which is over 1200 babies a year in the UK, and after a difficult pregnancy it was found that August has an cleft of his soft and hard palate. Children born with a cleft have ongoing issues with feeding, speaking and hearing. CLAPA is not funded by the NHS and the work they do to support families and children with cleft is funded by donations which is why I am raising money for this charity so they can make sure everyone born with a cleft can smile inside and out!
