Claire Simonson Education Fund
Grant Simonson was a beautiful son, husband, brother, nephew, grandson, and friend. He had a magical smile. He loved people and made friends everywhere he went.
He loved hunting with his dad, fishing with his friends, shooting with his dad and brother, and he was an untrained but expert cook. Whether it was vinyl records, high end stereos, smoking meats, biking, or a variety of other things, Grant was always absorbing and sharing information about his passions. Grant also loved racing cars, and lived life at full speed. His spark and enthusiasm cannot be adequately captured in words. Grant reveled in being the fun uncle and adored his nieces and nephew. Despite these amazing qualities, Grant lost his battle with mental health and alcoholism in the end.
Grant Simonson left this earthly world far too soon on August 14, 2020. He left behind many loving family and friends. Grant also left behind his two year old daughter with Lyndsey Simonson, Claire Rae Simonson.
Grant loved his daughter Claire more than anything. She is a joy and shining light for our family, and was the most important thing in his life. Like her father, she is whip smart, witty, and sassy. Before Grant died, Lyndsey and Grant did not have the opportunity to start a college fund for Claire. Claire has a bright future ahead of her and we want to make sure she has the support to follow her dreams and gain the education she desires.
The Claire Simonson Education Fund will support Claire's educational needs as she grows older so that she can follow her dreams.
All of this money will be invested with the help of a financial advisor until Claire needs it for her education. We will personally pay for any costs related to financial advising, so that this money remains untouched.
We have been so touched by the support many of you have already extended to our family. If this story touches you, any amount would be helpful for Claire's future.
